Add costs and target profit, then divide by one minus the variable fee rate.

What can change the answer?

The result assumes one variable percentage fee on sale price and a fixed cost amount. Add shipping, packaging, payment fees, and tax treatment if those affect your order.

Before relying on the result

Include the fixed charges that belong to the order and verify which amount the percentage fee applies to. Zero target profit calculates the price that covers the entered costs; a positive target calculates a price for that contribution. This does not measure demand or cover charges you have omitted.

Worked example with the default inputs

With $25 in costs, a $10 target profit and a 10% percentage fee, the price is $35 divided by 0.90, or about $38.89. At that price the fee consumes about $3.89.

Interpret the result in a planning record

The break-even price calculator combines fixed costs and a target profit, then accounts for an adjustable percentage fee. A zero target models the price needed to cover the entered costs. A positive target adds the desired contribution. The model does not automatically include every platform charge, discount or tax treatment.

Save the input values, units and result together. Change one uncertain input at a time so you can see which assumption moves the answer. A displayed decimal is arithmetic precision, rather than evidence that the measurements or rates are equally precise.
